Recently, I have been looking to switch to an all-encompassing CRM. There are so many options out there it can be a very difficult task to find one that works for you. Some are free or extremely low-cost, and others are expensive in comparison. So how do you determine which is best?

3 Types of CRM

CRM, or Customer Relationship Management software, is a platform that connects your different departments, from marketing to sales to customer service and organizes their notes, activities, and metrics into one cohesive system. Every user has easy, direct access to the real-time client data they need. There are three types of CRM out there: collaborative, analytical, and operational. A collaborative system focuses on streamlining communication between departments directly focused on the customer, analytical focuses on streamlining communication between departments directly focused on the customer, while an operational is a centralized system that supports the sales, marketing, and customer service functions within a company that stores information on customers, leads, and employees using a shared interface.

Choosing which type you need can help you figure you what program is best for you. There are some that are specific to certain types of businesses as well. Or customizable for your needs. Make sure your CRM software is a great value for your money with what you need it for. I have seen some that are expensive but don’t have features I need or others that are competitively priced but once I add in some other things I use for my business, would cost more than another CRM software that includes them all. I even found one that is specifically designed for teams so the lowest tier is for three workers per program.

Exploring CRM Options

Looking for the top 10 CRM software options? Perhaps a free CRM? You can do a Google search for the best CRMs out there and come up with a ton of different companies available. You can check out here for some standard CRMs and here for small business CRMs. There are two that cross over. Keep in mind, neither is a comprehensive list.
